FOUR BLUE DEVILS SIT AMONG THE NATION'S LEADERS

Lucas Norton, Christian Arnold, Geoffrey Birkemeier and Hunter Phillips have all put up some nationally recognizable statistics in this 2014 season.

Lucas Norton has one of the most productive offensive campaigns in recent years.  His batting average is currently sitting at .409, which ranks 40th in the NJCAA.  His 63 Hits have him at 17th in the nation and 5th in the KJCCC Eastern Conference.  His 20 stolen bases have him at 31st in the nation and his 13 hit-by-pitch rank 11th.  Luke's most valuable asset is his on-base percentage which ranks 38th nationally and 5th in the KJCCC East at .500.

Christian Arnold is currently 22nd in the nation and 6th in the Jayhawk East with 8 homeruns on the season. 

On the mound two Blue Devil hurlers are of climbing the charts, freshmen Geoffrey Birkemeier and Hunter Phillips.  Phillips is 15th in the nation and 2nd in the Jayhawk East with 7 Wins.  Birk is tops in the nation and in the conference with 7 complete games this year.  He is also 20th nationally with 66.2 innings this season.

KCK looks to continue their winning ways this week as they square off with Maple Woods Community College at 3pm on Wednesday.  This game was originally scheduled to be played at Maple Woods but the weather and blessing of turf has moved the game to KCK.  Thursday, KCK will travel to Highland, KS for a 1pm double-header and Saturday the Blue Devils will play host to the Scotties beginning at 1pm.
