Men's Golf Takes 5th At Spring Opener

WICHITA, Kan. - The KCKCC men's golf team placed fifth out of 11 teams earlier this week at the Friends University Invite at Crestview Country Club. Colby Unruh highlighted the squad as he took second place overall with a team low score of 72.

The Blue Devils had a total score of 314, which was only four strokes behind the fourth place team - Seminole State College. KCKCC would however defeat the host team Friends by three total strokes.

Tommy O'Connor and Jason Krannawitter were next in line for the team placing in 31st and 35th place. O'Connor turned in a score of 79 and Krannawitter had a total of 80. Carson Towey and Jack Tarvin rounded out the team with scores of 83 and 86.

Garden City CC's Anthony DeSchutter was the individual champion with a total score of 70.

KCKCC is back on the links on March 21-22 when they play at Prairie Highlands hosted by Baker University.
