Men's Golf Takes Third At Baker Invitational

OLATHE, Kan. - The KCKCC men's golf team had three players place in the top 20, while taking third overall out of seven teams at the Baker Spring Invitational on Tuesday. The Blue Devils totaled a 37-over par for the Tournament, shooting a 613.

Colby Unruh led the way with a third place finish, while Carson Towey and Tommy O'Connor took 18th and 20th. 

Unruh shot a 4-over par in the tournament, placing behind a pair of William Woods University participants. After shooting a first round score of 79, Unruh bounced back to shoot a 69 on day two. Towey recorded a score of 11-over par for the Tournament and O'Connor was just one stroke behind at 12-over par. 

Jacob Hall slid into the top 30 individually - placing 28th with a total score of 15-over par. Jason Krannawitter rounded out the Blue Devils with a score of 20-over par placing 40th. 

William Woods was the tournament champion with a score of 13-over par (589) and Sterling College was second with a 29-over par (605).

KCKCC has a quick turnaround as they travel to Manhattan, Kan. on March 28 to play at Colbert Hills.
