
NEWTON, Kan. - Tommy O'Connor led the KCKCC men's golf team with a 7-over-par as the Blue Devils finished fifth out of seven teams at the Bethel Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. O'Connor shot a total score of 150 including a first round total of just 71.
Carson Towey and Jason Krannawitter placed in a three-way tie for 20th shooting an 8-over-par. Colby Unruh was next on the squad with a 10-over par 153 placing 24th overall, while Jack Tarvin shot a 16-over par to place 33rd.
Jacob Hall rounded out the team with a 42nd place finish, shooting a 20-over par, 163.
Dodge City CC took home the team title with an even score, while Southeast CC took second at 15-over par and Concordia University (Neb.) finished third with a 19-over par.
Dodge City placed five of their eight individuals in the top five, with Evan Lindsey winning the individual hardware.
The Blue Devils next event is on April 11-12 at the second KJCCC Tournament of the season at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kan.
