Men's Golf Finishes KJCCC Play With 4th Place Finish

NEWTON, Kan. - The KCKCC men's golf team closed out the spring regular season on Tuesday, placing fourth overall at the third KJCCC Tournament of the semester. Colby Unruh was also named an All-KJCCC honorable mention at the tournament. 

The Blue Devils finished with a score of 42-over par, 906. However, they defeated Barton County CC for the first time this year as the Cougars had a total score of 67-over par 931.

KCKCC's individuals were highlighted by a 15th place finish from Carson Towey - shooting a 10-over par 226. Unruh and Dylan Freund followed as Unruh scored an 11-over par and Freund shot a 12-over par. Jacob Hall finished just outside the top 20 in 22nd place with a 14-over par, while Jason Krannawitter shot an 18-over par to take 28th place.

Hutchinson CC had two individuals place one and two in the tournament as Harry Crockett shot a 9-under par. The Blue Dragons were also Tournament champions scoring a 12-under par 852. Garden City CC and Dodge City CC placed second and third in the Tournament with scores of 17-over par and 21-over par. 

KCKCC will take their talents to Hastings, Neb. April 25-26 to compete at Districts at the Lochland Golf Course.
