HASTINGS, Neb. - The KCKCC men's golf team competed at the NJCAA Central District Championship Tournament on Monday and Tuesday, where the squad placed sixth overall out of nine institutions. KCKCC totaled a score of 60-over par, 924 once again beating out Barton CC at the Lochland Country Club.
Iowa Western CC won the tournament with a score of 18-over par, 882, while Hutchinson CC and Indian Hills CC placed second and third.
Leading the way for the Blue Devils was Carson Towey who shot a 10-over par to take 16th place. Meanwhile, Tommy O'Connor finished 24th with a 14-over par and Colby Unruh shot a 16-over par to place 26th.
Jacob Hall slid into the top 30 with a 21-over par and Dylan Dreund placed 33rd with a 24-over par.
Harry Crockett of Hutchinson CC was the individual winner with an even score for 216.
The Blue Devils will now prepare for the NJCAA DI National Championship in Odessa, Texas. The tournament will take place from May 10-13.
