FORT SCOTT, Kan. – The KCKCC women's basketball team narrowly held on for a 69-68 win over Fort Scott Wednesday night on the road.

The Blue Devils finish the regular season with an 18-12 overall record and 7-7 conference mark.

Fort Scott posted an 11-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but KCKCC outscored the Greyhounds 17-12 in the second period to go into the locker room tied at 23-23.

The Blue Devils used a big third quarter to score 29 points and held off a comeback from Fort Scott to win by one point, despite being outscored 22-17.

Four players scored in double-figures as Jada Johnson had 17 points and nine rebounds. Rebecca Christodoulou (12), Victoria Jones (11) and Miaya Ware (10) were the other three.

KCKCC is set to host the first round of the KJCCC DII Tournament Monday night against Allen County at 5:30 p.m.
