The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team fell to the No.1 Johnson County Community College Cavaliers, 76-50, Wednesday at Breidenthal Court. KCKCC struggled with shooting accuracy, hitting only 31.7% from the field and 33.3% from the free-throw line. Johnson County dominated the paint with 48 points and held a significant 47-32 advantage in rebounds.

KCKCC struggled to find its rhythm early on, trailing the Cavaliers in the first quarter. Alana Webb made an impact with a 3-pointer at 7:41, narrowing the gap slightly, yet the team faced challenges in maintaining possession, committing three turnovers. Despite a late 3-pointer from Meg Revol at 1:05, KCKCC ended the opening quarter down 26–12.

The Blue Devils managed to narrow the deficit slightly after a challenging stretch early in the second quarter. A key moment came when Kylee West's jumper at 7:23, assisted by Amiyah Fulton, broke a scoring drought. Despite JCCC extending its lead to 24 points at one point, KCKCC responded with crucial points late in the quarter, highlighted by Revol's back-to-back jumpers in the final minutes. The Cavaliers maintained control, leading 40-23 headed into halftime.

The Blue Devils couldn't find momentum in the third quarter, as their offense was limited to 13 points. Presley Simpson sparked a brief surge with a 3-pointer at 8:25, assisted by Webb, but consistent scoring proved challenging. West contributed with a jumper and an assist, but KCKCC couldn't close the gap. The Cavaliers maintained control, building a lead that reached 28 points with under a minute remaining. The quarter ended with a 64-36 deficit for the Blue Devils.

KCKCC started the fourth quarter with determination, highlighted by a 3-pointer from Fulton at 9:25, assisted by West. The team found success from beyond the arc, with Revol also contributing a 3-pointer at 5:22, trimming the deficit but maintaining their effort on offense. Despite a strong showing in the paint by the Cavaliers, KCKCC showed resilience, scoring steadily throughout the quarter. The efforts included field goals from Webb and Revol, keeping the pressure on the visitors. The quarter ended with the Blue Devils outscoring the undefeated Cavaliers 14-12, but the game concluded with a final score of 76-50 in favor of JCCC.

Revol led the scoring effort by finishing with 14 points, converting six of her nine field goal attempts, including two 3-pointers. Fulton contributed 10 points, adding four assists and collecting three rebounds. Webb added 12 points, hitting two 3-pointers and dishing out two assists.
