The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team fell to North Central Missouri College, 62-56, at Breidenthal Court Wednesday. Despite a strong rebounding performance with 45 total boards, the game was marked by a tight halftime score of 28-25 in favor of the Blue Devils. The Pirates, ranked No. 21 in the NJCAA DII Poll, surged in the final two quarters, closing the game with a decisive 19-point fourth quarter.
KCKCC recorded 12 steals and collected 45 rebounds but committed 25 turnovers, which proved costly in the tight matchup. Kylee West led the team with a stellar double-double, notching 18 points, 17 rebounds and four steals. Amiyah Fulton contributed with seven points and five assists, while Meg Revol added six points and secured two steals. Presley Simpson tallied a season-high 13 points, including a successful 3-pointer.
The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Labette Community College Cardinals at 1 p.m. Feb. 21 at Breidenthal Court in the KCKCC Fieldhouse.
