The No. 10 ranked Kansas City Kansas Community College women's soccer team scored 10 goals in a win over Southeast Community College Sunday, improving to 3-1-1 this season. The Blue Devils scored seven goals in the first half and added three more in the second while outshooting the Bobcats 53-0, including 30 shots on goal.
Elissa Green scored twice in the first half with assists from Bayli Benson, who also netted two goals of her own in the 20th and 25th minutes with assists from Bailey Carder and Adrianna Lara. Dani Willeford scored in the 10th and 44th minutes, assisted by Jennifer Vasquez and Sophia Bonewits. Ivori Jones recorded her second goal of the season in the 32nd minute on a pass from Martina Barrera, who also scored unassisted in the 47th minute. Lara and Madi Logan added goals in the 53rd and 59th minutes, with assists from Kaitlyn Milford and Kinlee Smoot.
The match ended with 20 minutes remaining under the new mercy rule, which calls for a running clock and early finish when a team leads by eight or more goals.
The next game for the Blue Devils women's soccer team is against the Pratt Community College Beavers at 3 p.m. Sep. 10 in Pratt, Kan.
