The No.11 Kansas City Kansas Community College women's soccer team defeated Allen County Community College 4-1 Oct.11. KCKCC took an early lead with two first half goals and maintained control with two additional goals in the second half. Despite Allen County's efforts, which included a first-half goal, the Blue Devil's offense proved too strong. The Blue Devils' defense limited the Red Devils to seven shots on goal, with their goalkeeper making eight saves.
Dani Willeford scored one goal and added an assist, contributing a game-winning goal while leading with five shots and three shots on goal. Daya Lou Homey tallied two goals from four shots, with two of those shots on target. Elissa Green contributed both a goal and an assist, recording five shots with three on goal. Mallory McWillie made six saves, conceding just one goal on seven shots faced. The KCKCC women's soccer team currently leads the nation in shots with 532 on the season, averaging 35.5 shots per game.
The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Highland Community College Scotties at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at the KCKCC Soccer Field.
