TORRID PENN VALLEY TOO MUCH FOR CHILLY BLUE DEVILS 88-63

            Torrid first half shooting carried Penn Valley to an 88-63 home court win over Kansas City Kansas Community College Monday night.

            The loss closed out non-conference play for the Blue Devils (6-14), who swing right into Jayhawk Conference Division II play at Johnson County (4-15) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

            Netting 16 of 28 first half shots for 57.1 percent, Penn Valley raced to a 41-20 halftime lead. Just 4 of 33 for 12.1 percent the first half, the Blue Devils rebounded in the second half, shooting 43.8 percent in being outscored just 47-43.

            Freshman Marcus Allen led KCKCC with 23 points and six rebounds while Clay Young added 11 points and seven rebounds and Lucas Smith 10 points and a game high nine rebounds.
