Men's Golf Takes 6th At Hesston Tournament

HESSTON, Kan. - The KCKCC men's golf team got their Fall season started with a sixth place finish at the Hesston College Tournament Monday and Tuesday, scoring a total of 929 points. The team shot their best score of 304 in the third round, bouncing back from a 311 and 314 first day.

With the team shooting a 77-over par, Nate Saporito placed in the top 10 for the Blue Devils finishing eighth. His score of 2-over par, 73 led the team, while Jack Stuckey placed 17th with a 5-over par, 76. Josh Killingsworth placed 27th with a 7-over par followed by the final three Blue Devils: Turner Depperschmidt, Parker Vancampen and Josiah Morris sliding into the Top 40 at 38th place. 

Hastings College was the tournament champions scoring a 23-over par, 875. Barton County CC and Central Christian College finished second and third.

The Blue Devils will return to action on Sept. 12 when they play at Eagle Bend Golf Course for the Ottawa University Tournament.
