LAWRENCE, Kan. - Three top 15 finishes helped the KCKCC men's golf team to a sixth place finish and score of 46-over par 622 at the Ottawa University Invitational Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Parker Vancampen and Josiah Morris each placed in the top 10 - eighth and 10th respectively, while Josh Killingsworth improved upon his first round score to take 12th in the tournament.
The trio of Blue Devils shot in order a 7-over par, 8-over par and 9-over par.
Nate Saporito was the next Blue Devil as he had a six-stroke improvement in the second round to score a 14-over par and take 24th place. Turner Depperschmidt shot a 20-over par to take 40th place and Jack Stuckey placed 43rd with a 21-over par. Harrison Matlock was the next member of the squad taking 56th place with a 39-over par.
Rockhurst University was the Tournament champion with a 22-over par 598 and was led by the individual champion Ben Elgas who scored a 3-under par 141.
The team will next travel to Salina, Kan. for the Bethany College Tournament on Sept. 19.
