The No. 2 Kansas City Kansas Community College volleyball team swept Allen Community College 25-18, 25-17, 25-14 Sept. 3 in Iola. The Blue Devils dominated the match with a strong offensive performance, recording 41 kills and a .219 hitting percentage. The team also excelled at the service line, delivering 12 aces. Allen struggled to counter, managing only 24 kills and hitting .088. KCKCC's defense was also a factor, with 71 digs contributing to their decisive victory.
Sanoma Hunter led the Blue Devils with a commanding performance, posting eight kills on a .438 hitting percentage and registering five total blocks. Valentina Rolando contributed significantly with nine kills and three service aces, while also collecting 14 digs. Briazia Osborne showcased her defensive skills by leading the team with 16 digs, alongside adding 11 assists. Avery Bejan was a force at the net, tallying five block assists.
The Blue Devils remain undefeated with an overall record of 9-0 and conference record of 1-0. They will be taking on Fort Scott at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 for their home opener.
