The Kansas City Kansas Community College volleyball team, ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA DII Women's Volleyball Rankings, swept No. 17 Neosho County Community College, with scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-11 Sept.24. With a dominating performance, KCKCC recorded 40 kills and nine service aces to secure the decisive victory. The Panthers struggled with a .046 hitting percentage and eight reception errors, unable to match the offensive efficiency of their opponents.
Valentina Rolando led the Blue Devils with 13 kills on 34 attempts, adding three service aces and 11 digs, contributing a total of 16 points. Ava Rann was a defensive standout with 20 digs, while also recording five assists. Veronica Rolando chipped in with 17 assists and four service aces, alongside 10 digs and three total blocks. Sanoma Hunter posted seven kills on 16 attempts and recorded five total blocks, accumulating 10 points for the match.
The next match for the No. 2 Blue Devils is against the Independence Community College Pirates at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Breidenthal Court in the KCKCC Fieldhouse.
