The home team pulled ahead with a strong second half, outscoring the visitors 46-34. The game featured a balanced scoring effort, with the bench contributing 32 points. Southeast briefly led in the first half, but KCKCC's largest lead of 14 points in the second half sealed the win.
The Blue Devils started strong with Andrew Tiemeyer hitting two early three-pointers, contributing to a 9–6 lead. KCKCC extended its advantage to 10 points at 4:15, with Ta'Veaion Washington adding key points in the paint. The Bobcats narrowed the gap toward the end of the half, but the Blue Devils maintained a slim 34–32 edge at the break.
KCKCC surged ahead in the second half, establishing a 14-point lead over the Bobcats with 30 seconds remaining. The half was highlighted by efficient free-throw shooting converting 17 of 22 attempts and strong transition play that added eight fast-break points. Defensively, KCKCC's pressure produced eight steals, disrupting Southeast's rhythm.
Anthony Leonard played a pivotal role with a series of key shots, including a fast-break layup and a three-pointer, helping extend the lead. With the score tied early at 43, the Blue Devils took control and never looked back, closing the half with a 46-34 advantage before finishing with the 80-66 win.
Washington led the way with 15 points and six rebounds, also adding two steals. Malik Lewis contributed 13 points, converting 7 of8 from the line. Leonard and Ali Booker each scored 11, with Leonard dishing out three assists and Booker adding four.
The next game for the Blue Devils is against North Arkansas at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Breidenthal Court in the KCKCC Fieldhouse.
