The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team showcased their dominance over Moberly Area Community College in a doubleheader on Tuesday, winning both games decisively with scores of 11-0 and 10-0. 

In the first game, the Blue Devil offense was relentless, producing 15 hits. Rebecca Castillo pitched a complete game shutout, striking out five batters over five innings. Castillo allowed no earned runs, gave up four hits, and demonstrated impressive control in the circle with only one walk, maintaining a WHIP of 1.25. Alaina Mendez provided one inning of relief, facing three batters without allowing a hit or walk, adding one strikeout and achieving a perfect WHIP of 0.00. The combined efforts of Castillo and Mendez resulted in a stellar shutout performance against the Greyhounds. 

Mary Stephens led the offensive charge with three hits, scoring two runs while swiping two bases. Kaitlyn Cowan drove in three runs and scored twice, finishing with three hits, including a double. Brenli Baker also shined, contributing three hits and adding two RBIs to her tally. 

In the second game, KCKCC continued their strong showing, collecting 12 hits, including four doubles and a triple. Mendez took the circle again, striking out five batters over five innings and allowing just one hit. Mendez pitched 2.0 innings, giving up one hit and two walks with three strikeouts, maintaining a 0.00 ERA. Gabby Pemberton followed with 3.0 innings of work, facing nine batters and striking out two, while recording a WHIP of 0.00, showcasing her control and efficiency. Together, the pitchers did not allow any earned runs, further emphasizing their strong combined performance in the game against the Greyhounds. 

Sidney Sullivan was a standout performer in the second game, scoring three runs and collecting four hits and four RBIs, including three doubles. Baker contributed with two hits and two RBIs, and also drew a walk and stole a base. Cowan added to the offensive effort by driving in two runs with a triple and a walk, while also stealing a base. Maddy Crawford rounded out the top performers by scoring two runs and recording two hits, including a double, while stealing a base.  

The next series for the Blue Devils will be at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. April 2 against the Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds in Moberly, Mo.
