No.7 Thunderbirds Get Revenge on Blue Devils

The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team fell to the No.7 Cloud County Community College Thunderbirds with a final score of 11-6 on Tuesday. The Blue Devil offense managed two home runs amid their six-run effort.

Nick Martensen started for KCKCC, managing only .1 of an inning while giving up three earned runs on three hits, including a home run, and two walks. Kirby Super provided a strong relief performance, pitching three innings and striking out four batters while allowing only one walk. Caden Howell also contributed with two innings of work, surrendering just one hit and recording one strikeout. Tanner Warner faced difficulties, allowing six earned runs and four walks in .1 of an inning.

Brady Kern drove in three runs and drew a walk, contributing significantly to the team's offense. Owen Musil added power with a home run and collected two hits, crossing the plate once. Ian Woita also showcased his hitting ability, recording a home run among his two hits and earning one walk.

As a team, the Thunderbirds out hit the Blue Devils nine to seven. On top of that, KCKCC managed to walk a grand total of 10 Cloud County batters.

The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Barton Community College Cougars at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at the KCKCC Baseball Field.
