The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team secured a 12–10 victory over St. Charles Community College on Tuesday at KCKCC Baseball Field. The Blue Devils recorded 16 hits, including a crucial five-run fourth inning, to edge past the Cougars.
Kirby Super started for KCKCC, pitching 2.0 innings while allowing two earned runs on four hits, including a home run, and issuing two walks without recording a strikeout. Cohen Epler followed with a strong performance, pitching 4.0 innings, giving up no runs, and striking out two batters while earning the win, improving his record to 1-0 and maintaining a low WHIP of 0.50. Nick Martensen contributed 2.0 innings, striking out four but allowing three earned runs on three hits, including a home run. Tanner Warner struggled in his brief appearance, recording only one out while conceding four earned runs on two hits and two hit batsmen. Sebastian Udland closed, pitching 0.2 inning and allowing one earned run on two hits.
Owen Musil led with four hits and four RBIs, showcasing his offensive impact. Ian Woita contributed two hits and two RBIs, adding to the team's scoring efforts. Reid Oakley recorded three hits and scored once, maintaining a strong presence at the plate. Sawyer Tolk drove in two runs while also scoring twice, highlighting his effectiveness both offensively and defensively.
