  • Men’s Basketball Falls in Opening Round

    The fifth seeded Kansas City Kansas Community College men’s basketball team fell to the fourth seeded Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds with a final score of 63-76 in the opening round of the 2026 NJCAA Division 2 Region VI Men's Basketball Tournament. KCKCC led by as much as seven points early in the first half but struggled to maintain momentum. Despite hitting 38.1% from three-point range, the Blue Devils could not overcome their 16 turnovers. The Greyhounds capitalized on these mistakes, converting them into 21 points and maintaining a consistent lead throughout the second half to secure the win.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team defeated Labette Community College, 77-65 Saturday at Breidenthal Court. KCKCC built a 16-point lead midway through the second half, capitalizing on 22 points from turnovers. Labette managed to cut the deficit to three in the first half but couldn't sustain the momentum in the second, trailing by as much as 16 points.
  • KCKCC Takes No. 3 to the Wire in Tight Loss

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men’s basketball team fell to the No. 3 undefeated Johnson County Community College Cavaliers, 61-57 in a closely contested matchup Wednesday at Breidenthal Court. The Blue Devils led by as many as 16 points in the first half, but the Cavaliers surged with a 39-point second half to secure the victory. Despite forcing 20 turnovers and recording 10 steals, KCKCC was unable to maintain its early advantage.
  • Blue Devils Get Revenge on Scotties
    February 16, 2026
    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team edged Highland Community College Scotties, 69-64 Saturday at Ben Allen Field House. KCKCC built an early advantage, leading by as many as 15 points and holding off a late rally by Highland. The Blue Devils capitalized on its 87.5% free-throw shooting, making 21 of 24 attempts, while forcing eight turnovers that contributed to 11 points off turnovers.
  • Blue Devils Get Important Road Win in Chanute

    The Kansas City Community College men’s basketball team secured a 79-74 victory over the Neosho County Community College Wednesday night. KCKCC’s bench contributed significantly with 39 points, and the team shot 54.7 percent from the field. The Panthers kept the game close by converting 25 of 30 free throws, but the Blue Devils maintained the lead throughout, with their largest advantage being five points early in the first half.
  • Blue Devils Fall in Iola

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men’s basketball team fell to Allen Community College, 79-71 Saturday. The Blue Devils held a narrow 38-36 lead at halftime but were unable to maintain their advantage as the Red Devils outscored them 43-33 in the second half. Despite the loss, KCKCC connected on 19-27 free throws, while the Red Devils shot 50 percent from the field and made 10-20 attempts from beyond the arc.

KCKCC narrowed the gap with a 33-point second half, but the Greyhounds maintained their lead by capitalizing on free throws, going 19-27 from the line. The game saw multiple lead changes, with the Blue Devils largest lead at three points early in the first half.

The Blue Devil defense recorded 10 steals, contributing to 12 points off turnovers.

Allen’s defense forced 17 turnovers, contributing to their comeback, while KCKCC was paced by 24 points in the paint.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team dominated Kansas Christian Varsity Reserve team with a decisive 125-35 victory at Breidenthal Court. KCKCC capitalized on turnovers, scoring 48 points off the Falcons' 31 turnovers, while also tallying 78 points in the paint.

The Blue Devils secured the win with a strong second half, outscoring the Comets 31-27 after trailing by two points at halftime. KCKCC capitalized on free throws, shooting 71.4% from the line, while Western Iowa Tech managed only 52.9%.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team defeated the University of Saint Mary JV team 97-47 Dec. 2 at Breidenthal Court. KCKCC dominated the game, leading by as many as 52 points in the second half. The home team shot 55.1% from the field, with their bench contributing 58 points. The Spires struggled offensively, shooting just 26.6% from the field and managing only 47 points overall.
  • Blue Devils Struggle Offensively in Home Loss to North Arkansas

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men’s basketball team fell to North Arkansas College 84-54 Nov. 11 at Breidenthal Court. The Pioneers pulled away late, building a 33-point lead in the second half — their largest of the night. The Blue Devils forced 11 steals but struggled offensively, shooting just 28.4 percent from the field. North Arkansas capitalized, converting 52.5 percent of its attempts and scoring 40 points in the paint.
  • KCKCC Men Secure 80-66 Win Behind Second-Half Surge
    November 11, 2025
    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team secured an 80-66 victory over Southeast Community College Nov. 8 on Breidenthal Court. The home team pulled ahead with a strong second half, outscoring the visitors 46-34. The game featured a balanced scoring effort, with the bench contributing 32 points. Southeast briefly led in the first half, but KCKCC’s largest lead of 14 points in the second half sealed the win.
  • No.22 Blue Devil Men's Basketball Sneaks By in Season Opener

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team narrowly defeated Florida State College at Jacksonville 64-61 Oct. 31. KCKCC was led by a strong shooting performance, converting 60 percent from the field. Despite committing 18 turnovers, the team capitalized on their free throw opportunities, going 18-for-24. The win was secured in a tense final stretch, as the Manta Rays, who shot only 33.3 percent from the field, fell short despite a late push.
